Psalter of 1650 and Paraphrases of 1781 with notes. The editor, who in 1780 became minister of the Relief Church at Cupar-Fife, and in 1793 at Dundee, resigned his charge in 1798 and finally settled in Glasgow as a Universalist preacher, where be d. in 1823. In his Sermons on Important Subjects with some Essays in Poetry (Edin.: G. Caw, 1789), he gives 14 paraphrases of psalms and 24 hymns and poems-all original.
